What can your do to reduce hamstring and groin injuries?

Hamstring and groin injuries are the 2 most common injuries seen in football/soccer and can certainly result in an extended time on the sidelines.

The Nordic hamstring exercise & the Copenhagen adduction exercise have been found to reduce hamstring injuries by up to 51% (van Dyk et al. 2019) and groin injuries by up to 41% respectively (Harøy et al. 2018).

These are 2 evidence based exercises which can be implemented into your team's training program to reduce risk of common football injuries and as part of late stage injury rehabilitation.
